They are home to unique flora and fauna, some of which are endangered. You will get spectacular views of Himalayan peaks, high waterfalls, and trekking opportunities. It is the perfect place to experience a different side of Nepal. Some of the National parks in Nepal are listed as World Heritage sites by UNESCO.



1. Bardia National Park

Bardia National Park is located in the western Nepal. It is a beautiful, unspoiled wilderness of sal forests, grasslands and Karnali River. 2. Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park, a World Heritage site since 1984 is the first national park in Nepal. It is home to grasslands, forests, marshes and wildlife located in the south of central Nepal. The wilderness in the park includes the one-horned Rhinos, wild elephants, leopards, sloth bears, over 500 species of birds and the majestic Bengal Tiger. You will transverse inside the denseness of nature as you explore the jungle on an elephant’s back or in a jeep. You will discover the unique culture and lifestyle as you walk around the Tharu village near the park and experience the authentic Tharu cultural dance and Nepalese cuisine. 3. Sagarmatha National Park

Sagarmatha National Park is a national park in the Himalayas of eastern Nepal. It was the first national park in Nepal to be recognized as a World heritage site in 1979. It is an exceptional area with dramatic mountains, glaciers and deep valleys, dominated by Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. It is a scenic masterpiece on Earth. Snow leopard and red pandas are some of the rare species found in the park. Hiking to Kalapathar to get a close up view of Mount Everest and see the sunrise will be a lifetime experience. This indeed is a place where every aspect of nature is preserved.



4. Makalu Barun National Park

Makalu, the fifth highest mountain in the world sits within the Makalu Barun National Park. The park is an eastern extension of the Sagarmatha National Park, where Mount Everest is located. It is also connected to a Qomolangma National Nature Preserve in Tibet. Makalu Barun National Park is the world’s only protected area with an elevation gain of more than 8,000 meter enclosing tropical forests as well as snow-capped mountains. It is habitat for a wide range of flaura and fauna including rhododendrons, orchids, red panda, musk deer and wild yak, which you can spot during your stay. You can camp on the seven campsites designated along the trek route and enjoy the beauty of both, the tropical forests and the snowy mountains.
